Tech Industry Alliance (TIA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew Camilleri as its new Chairperson. The appointment was confirmed at the organisation’s Annual General Meeting, held on 28 May 2025 at the Quest Offices in Cork. Matthew brings extensive experience in the tech sector and a strong commitment to the continued growth and collaboration within the region’s thriving technology ecosystem.

TIA would like to extend its sincere thanks to outgoing Chairperson Gerry Murphy, who has led the organisation with energy and dedication over the past two years. Under his leadership, TIA has continued to expand its services and strengthen its role as a key voice for the industry. We would also like to thank Laura Hughes for her valued contribution as a board member and acknowledge her commitment during her time with TIA.

Joining the board this year are George O’ Mahony representing MTU, Ricky Kelly of RDJ representing Cork Chamber, John Manley representing Trend Micro, Georgie Browne representing AxisBIC, Ann O’ Dwyer representing Kerry ETB and Claire Davis who is joining as an observer from Cork City Council.  These new members bring a wealth of knowledge and experience and will support the ongoing work of the Alliance in promoting innovation, collaboration, and regional development.

Speaking at the AGM, incoming Chairperson Matthew Camilleri said: “It is a privilege to take on this role at such a dynamic time for the technology sector in the South-West. I look forward to working with the board, our members, and stakeholders to build on the strong foundations already in place and to ensure the continued success and relevance of the Tech Industry Alliance.
