Psychological safety is crucial for corporate diversity circles as it promotes support for employees as well as creating a positive and inclusive work environment. Psychological safety means an absence of interpersonal fear and organisations should put a focus on creating a culture of psychological safety to allow employees’ express their identity, values, and choices.
During the webinar the speakers will discuss what psychological safety is? How does one do it well? How can companies implement psychological safety in a work environment? Each of the expert panellists will be sharing their stories of how they have created successful inclusive environments and importance of attracting a diverse workforce. They will be sharing their knowledge and tips on how best to promote psychological safety and ensure inclusion for all employees. Holly is a Manager with Deloitte Consulting’s Human Capital Management Team, with over 5 years of experience supporting public and private sector clients. Holly specialises in providing workforce transformation, employee experience and DE&I solutions to drive holistic and meaningful change for clients across various industries.
Ryan McSweeney, Graduate Deal Analyst at VMware
Ryan is a recent BCOM graduate from UCC. Finishing his studies in 2020 and subsequently started in the Deal Management Team of VMware based in Ballincollig. Ryan is incredibly passionate about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, this passion has led him to become the Lead of the Disability and Wellness Pillar in VMinclusion. He also continues to be involved with some of UCC’s Disability Support Service programs and initiatives. Ryan’s got a history of mental illness and various eating disorders but is now keen to use his story for the betterment of others and continue to counteract the stigma around these issues.
Aideen McCarthy, Sr Program Delivery Specialist at Cloudera
Aideen is a Learning & Development professional with over 10 years experience in the HR space. She is an advocate for creating a workplace based on inclusion and belonging for all. Aideen is passionate about helping people to problem solve, evolve and take their next step in their career.
Paddy O’Connell, VP of Business Development at Starcircle
Paddy is currently VP of Business Development with Starcircle, a talent sourcing engine that supports a global client base in overcoming their hiring and diversity challenges by enabling them to engage with passive talent at scale. With over twenty years’ working within the recruitment and talent management industry, Paddy brings a wealth of experience, and a practical approach to supporting SME and larger international organisations in their growth strategies.
